The Alley Cats

The Alley Cats are a three piece Americana band from the Yorkshire coast. They started playing together in 2002 and sine then they have played in arts festivals, street festivals, folk festivals and acoustic festivals throughout the UK and Ireland, as well as playing concerts and private functions.

The Alley Cats are a family band, the line up being Pete on guitar, banjo, harmonica, kazoo and lead vocals; Janey on double bass and vocals and Polly on mandolin and vocals.

They play an up tempo, good-time set of American roots music which draws on the traditions of jug-bands, old-time string bands, bluegrass, early folk blues and skiffle. They combine awesome musicianship with foot-stomping rhythms and high energy entertainment.
